About the role

Brex Infinity Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join our quality assurance and control team on a contract basis. This is a pivotal role that will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our construction projects. Based in Kajang, Selangor, this position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on project outcomes through rigorous quality management and compliance oversight. As a QA/QC Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards, conducting inspections, and ensuring all work meets regulatory requirements and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

1. Conduct comprehensive inspections and testing of construction materials, workmanship, and finished products to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards

2. Develop and implement quality assurance and quality control plans tailored to specific project requirements

3. Document inspection findings, test results, and non-conformances, maintaining detailed records and reports for audit purposes

4. Identify defects and deviations from specifications, issuing corrective action requests and monitoring their resolution

5. Collaborate with site managers, contractors, and engineers to address quality concerns and implement preventative measures

6. Perform material testing and verification to confirm adherence to approved specifications and standards

7. Conduct site audits and quality assessments to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations

8. Prepare comprehensive quality reports and communicate findings to project stakeholders and management

9. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability of quality checks

What we're looking for

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline

2. Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in quality assurance and quality control within the construction industry

3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, building codes, and industry standards relevant to Malaysian construction practices

4. Proficiency in quality control methodologies, inspection techniques, and testing procedures

5. Experience with quality management systems and familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar standards

6. Competency in using testing equipment and diagnostic tools commonly employed in construction QA/QC

7. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and non-conformances accurately

8. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce clear technical reports

9. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced site environment

10. Knowledge of construction safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining safe working practices

11. Preferred: Experience with construction management software and digital inspection tools
