Responsibilities
As the Finance Manager for Wanderlust + Co, you will assist across the overall finance and human resource functions of the company. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have the ability to make a genuine impact on the success of the business, by efficiently and effectively providing financial and operational support to the business. Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
70% - Finance
· Plan ahead for the month end closing to ensure timely submission to Management
· Oversee and approve daily accounting transactions including intercompany transactions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and overall reconciliations
Maintain accurate accounting entries for monthly, quarterly and annual management and statutory reporting, including yearly audit and tax
Assist with weekly and month end closing activities, e.g. director’s statements, bank reconciliation, ageing reports, accruals etc
Monitor invoices, cashflow and general expenditure variance against budget, whilst managing budgets and costs effectively
Checking and liaise with vendors regard the billings, credit note, confirm the expenses are charged correctly (eg shipping fees, supplies etc.)
Prepare invoices, cash flow statements and general expenditure documentation
Liaise with External Auditor, Tax Agent, Company Secretary
15% - Analysis and Reporting
· Maintain and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual management and statutory reporting, including cash flow reports, Management reports, P&L and balance sheets
· Work on the month end and year end processes including liaison with external parties for Audit and Tax filings.
· Work with Management team to develop reports and dashboards to increase commercial awareness and drive improvements in business performance
· Working with the Finance Manager and Managing Director on budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
15% - HR & Operations
· Monitor attendance, HR payroll and policies, ensuring payroll is accurate and the team understands and complies with HR SOPs
· Staff claims checking and preparation
· Provide performance and operational advice to teams – e.g. logistics costings, procurement expenses – to ensure operations & merchandising expenses are optimized and logistics are controlled based on SOPs
· Work with Managing Director/managers on performance reviews (e.g. relevant feedback as and when needed, plus bi-annual/annual reviews)
· Act as the point of contact regarding labour legislation issues
· Any ad hoc task allocated, for instance, offline sales event / special event etc. and any finance & admin related matters.

5–7 years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or finance business partnering, preferably within a consumer goods, retail, or FMCG environment..
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
