Job Summary –

· Assist Director of Engineering to manage all aspects of maintenance issue on daily basis.

· Attend/ assist to internal & external guests need on any technical aspect.

· Receive breakdown call.

· Be Shift leader and lead the shift technician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

· Give responses to all visitors in an effective and prompt manner.

· Give responses to duties involving the groundskeeper.

· Keep all mechanical areas in a neat and orderly condition.

· Carry out inspection on public areas on a daily basis in case of problems arising unexpectedly.

· Offer maintenance and repairs to public areas, guestrooms and administrators office buildings.

· Carry out consistent preventive maintenance programs on rooms and regularly updates records on files.

· Guarantee that projects are all promptly accomplished and in line with appropriate specifications.

· Work together with the front office manager and housekeeper and connects with the manager to discuss any aspect of operations which will involve the maintenance department.

· Carry out assessment of requirements for completion of reports, or work orders to the management as stated by standard procedures.

· Engage in flexible work schedules to be able to perform well during emergencies.

· Assist in remodeling and construction of new projects as may be required

· Provide prompt, courteous and efficient engineering service.

· To clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel.

· To operate as an independent mechanic by analysing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.

· To be available for any emergencies and act in engineering capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency.

· Carry out specific oral or written communication level.

· Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.

· Respond and attend to guest repair requests.

· Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company brand standards anticipate and address guests.

· Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing and refrigeration.

· Update the maintenance work order form.

· Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.

· Prioritize and organize work assignments.

· Work under pressure situations and exercise good judgements.

· Focus attention on details, speed and accuracy.

· Maintain confidentiality of hotel guests and pertinent hotel information.

· Ensure security of guest room access and hotel property.

· Preform maintenance activities in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners / HVAC and AC ducts.

· Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment and cosmetic items.

· Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment.

· To clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel.

· To operate as an independent mechanic by analysing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality.

· When required perform basic repairs and troubleshooting like plumbing, electrical components, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and bulbs, and other guest room items.

· Carry out specific oral and written instructions.

· Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.

· Ensure uniform and personal appearances are clean and professional, maintain.

· Maintains the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

· Performs other duties as assigned by Duty Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer or Director of Engineering.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
