Role Description

The Maintenance Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Petaling Jaya. The Maintenance Technician will perform routine inspections, diagnose issues, and carry out maintenance and repair work on equipment, building systems, and facilities. Daily responsibilities include responding to maintenance requests and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, along with hands-on work in plumbing, carpentry, door and roller shutter repairs, painting and finishing, scaffolding, and HVAC systems, as well as completing preventive maintenance tasks and ensuring all work complies with safety standards. The role also involves coordinating with supervisors and other team members, maintaining accurate records of work performed, and supporting renovation projects as needed to keep the premises in optimal condition.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in equipment maintenance and industrial maintenance for facility and machinery upkeep.
• Solid troubleshooting abilities to identify and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
• Experience in preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and extend the life of equipment and systems.
• Hands-on maintenance and repair skills for both mechanical and general building work.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, or building services is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders, with strong attention to safety procedures.
• Good communication skills, reliability, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Previous experience in facility maintenance or a similar role is an advantage.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Possession of green card CIDB, PW2 or PW4 certification is an added advantage.
