Job Summary
The Account Assistant will support the Finance & Accounts Department of Chuan Keat Motor Trading Sdn. Bhd. in managing daily accounting operations. This position ensures accurate record-keeping, timely reporting, and compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in handling full sets of accounts (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger).
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, receipts, and bank reconciliations.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
- Support preparation of management reports, financial statements, and tax-related documents.
- Liaise with internal departments, auditors, tax agents, and banks when required.
- Handle petty cash and ensure accurate data entry in accounting systems.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
- Perform other ad-hoc administrative and accounting tasks assigned by the Finance Manager / Accountant.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or finance (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
- Basic knowledge of accounting software (SQL Accounting, AutoCount, or equivalent).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written & spoken).
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
