Role Summary
The Cloud Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure aligned with business and technical requirements. The role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud solutions across public cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop “To-Be” cloud infrastructure architecture aligned with business goals and cloud best practices.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, high-performing, and cost-efficient.
- Define detailed infrastructure and network specifications including:
- Virtual Machines (VMs), databases (RDS), storage, backup, and disaster recovery (DR)
- Networking components such as IP addressing, subnets, routing, virtual networks, gateways, DNS, DHCP, NTP, load balancing, and NaaS
- Prepare cost estimations covering resource usage, scalability, licensing, and cloud provider costs.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis to align with budget and operational expectations.
- Present architecture design, specifications, and costing for approval to the Architecture Committee.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance, security standards, and timelines.
- Develop and enforce cloud security frameworks, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
- Assess security risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and provide monthly security reports.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cloud providers on security and deployment requirements.
- Support architecture across multiple projects in collaboration with product and solution architects.
- Plan and execute network migrations, including DR readiness.
- Provide advisory on cloud upgrades, technology implementations, and procurement.
