This position is with Kingbase. Enzo Plus, the official distributor for Kingbase in Malaysia, is assisting with the recruitment process on behalf of Kingbase. The successful candidate will be employed by Kingbase and based at Enzo Plus' office in Selangor, Malaysia

Kingbase, a leading enterprise relational database platform, is seeking a Database Presales Engineer to support its business expansion in Malaysia. In this role, you will work closely with channel partners, enterprise customers, and the local distributor to design database solutions, deliver technical presentations and Proof of Concept (POC), and provide technical consultation throughout the sales cycle. You will also play a key role in driving the adoption of Kingbase's enterprise database solutions across the Malaysian market.

• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and Proof of Concept (POC).
• Design database solutions based on customer requirements.
• Support RFP/RFQ responses and technical proposal preparation.
• Provide technical consultation on database migration, HA, DR, and performance optimization.
• Conduct partner and customer technical workshops.
• Work closely with Sales, partners, and customers throughout the sales cycle.
• Assist with deployment planning and post-sales technical support when required.
  

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Database Presales, Solution Consulting, or Database Administration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, or similar).
• Familiar with Linux/Unix and basic Shell scripting.
• Understanding of database migration, backup & recovery, replication, HA, and DR.
• Strong presentation, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Experience with POC, technical workshops, or solution consulting is an advantage.
• Willing to travel for customer and partner engagements.
