Role Description The Senior Java Software Engineer will work on-site in Petaling Jaya in a contract position, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing robust backend services, building and integrating microservices, and optimizing application performance and scalability. The role involves working with the Spring Framework and related technologies, conducting code reviews, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring best practices in software engineering are followed. The engineer will participate in architectural discussions, contribute to technical documentation, and support continuous improvement of development processes and standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Java and core Programming concepts.
• Candidates should possess practical experience in Software Development, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
• Candidates should possess expertise in Microservices architectures, including service design, integration, and deployment.
• Candidates should possess hands-on experience with the Spring Framework and related Spring ecosystem tools.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of RESTful APIs, database integration (SQL/NoSQL), and application security principles.
• Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, clean coding practices, and experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work in an on-site, team-based environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in a senior or lead Java engineering role is highly beneficial.
