Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Machine Technician to lead our maintenance team in ensuring all production machinery operates efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will supervise daily maintenance activities, coordinate technicians, minimize machine downtime, and drive continuous improvement in machine reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign daily maintenance tasks and monitor work progress of maintenance technicians.
• Monitor machine breakdowns and ensure prompt troubleshooting and repair to minimize production downtime.
• Arrange and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
• Conduct daily morning briefings with the maintenance team to plan work priorities and communicate safety matters.
• Ensure technicians comply with company SOPs, safety regulations, and maintenance procedures.
• Source and liaise with suppliers and contractors for machine servicing, repairs, spare parts, and maintenance-related services.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and recommend stock replenishment when necessary.
• Investigate recurring machine issues and report findings to the Head of Department with recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service reports, and machine history.
• Assist in machine installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement projects.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with workplace safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to maintenance technicians.

Requirements

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in factory or manufacturing machine maintenance.
• Experience supervising or leading a maintenance team is an added advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Good communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure.
• Willing to respond to machine breakdowns outside normal working hours when necessary.
