Job Summary

AMETAL TECH SDN BHD is looking for a dedicated Building Systems Technician to maintain the company's office buildings, production facilities, utilities, and workers' hostels. The successful candidate will ensure that all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems and facilities.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for office buildings, production facilities, and workers' hostels.
• Monitor and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems.
• Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and facility-related issues.
• Support facility improvement, renovation, and upgrading projects.
• Monitor utility consumption (electricity and water) and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues before they become major problems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and maintenance schedules.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance and servicing works.
• Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment service history.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations and company maintenance procedures.
• Assist with office and hostel maintenance to provide a safe and comfortable working and living environment.

Requirements

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building or facilities maintenance.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Good knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection systems, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Willing to attend emergency maintenance outside normal working hours when required.
