Role Description The Shift Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bukit Mertajam. This role oversees daily production operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. The Shift Supervisor coordinates workforce scheduling, assigns tasks, monitors equipment performance, and resolves operational issues in real time. Responsibilities include leading and coaching team members, conducting shift handovers, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and preparing shift reports and performance metrics. The role collaborates with maintenance, quality, and logistics teams to support continuous improvement and smooth end-to-end operations.
Qualifications

• Operational leadership skills, including team supervision, shift coordination, and performance management.
• Experience in production or manufacturing environments, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills to address equipment, process, and staffing issues during shifts.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to provide clear instructions, feedback, and support to team members and cross-functional partners.
• Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tasks, prioritize activities, and meet operational deadlines.
• Familiarity with standard manufacturing procedures, basic technical or mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn SCHOTT-specific processes.
• Experience with basic data entry, reporting tools, and production documentation; exposure to digital systems or ERP tools is an advantage.
• Relevant education in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience; previous supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
