Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation for daily service (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and events)
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Support chefs with basic cooking tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients
- Learn and follow standard recipes, portion control, and presentation techniques
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Receive and store kitchen supplies and ingredients properly
- Participate in kitchen briefings and training sessions
- Assist with setting up and breaking down workstations
- Handle tasks as assigned by the chef or supervisor
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related program
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food handling
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items
