We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Audit Assistant / Audit Executive with experience in an audit firm to join our growing team. If you have hands-on external audit experience and enjoy working closely with auditors while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaise with external auditors throughout the annual statutory audit process.
• Prepare audit schedules, supporting documents, and financial reports required for audit.
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain information and documentation requested by auditors.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
• Perform account reconciliations and review general ledger transactions.
• Ensure timely completion of audit assignments and statutory reporting.
• Support the Finance Department in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in preparing tax-related schedules and documentation where required.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma, Bachelor's Degree or Professional Qualification in Accounting (LCCI), Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-3 years of working experience in an audit firm (external audit) is preferred.
• Experience in handling statutory audits and preparing audit working papers.
• Good understanding of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), Companies Act 2016, and statutory compliance.
• Able to liaise effectively with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
• Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Able to use software UBS/Auto count.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience serving clients from multiple industries.
• Knowledge of SST, corporate tax, and financial reporting.
• Candidate with experience in commercial accounting after audit firm experience are encouraged to apply.
