Role Description The Senior Data Center Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Kulai, responsible for the stability, performance, and security of data center infrastructure. The person in this role will oversee daily data center operations, including monitoring systems, managing cabling, coordinating equipment installations, and ensuring optimal environmental conditions. They will perform advanced troubleshooting, provide technical support to internal teams and clients, and lead incident resolution to minimize downtime. The Senior Data Center Engineer will also contribute to capacity planning, implement best practices, maintain documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure upgrades and projects.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Data Center Operations and Data Center Infrastructure management.
• Candidates should possess proven abilities in Troubleshooting and Technical Support for hardware, network, and system issues.
• Candidates should possess practical experience with Cabling, including structured cabling standards and cable management.
• Candidates should possess solid knowledge of server, storage, and network technologies commonly used in data centers.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Server+, Data Center-focused credentials) are beneficial.
• Experience in incident management, capacity planning, and change management within mission-critical environments is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work on-site in Kulai and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
• A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
