This job is for an End-to-End Database Automation and Cloud Integration services Engineer (using Linux or Windows operating systems ), including the development and implementation of digital strategies, Database software deployment Automation ( Ansible / Service Broker/ Terraform / CICD, RHEL-AAP,etc) for On-Premise or Cloud IaaS platform deployments of OS and database product lifecycle management, version Control, infrastructure operation and maintenance, security compliance and continuous optimization of Automation processes and systems aligned with regulatory and quality standards; The engineer has technical orientation in Linux or Windows operating systems, infrastructure components and tools needed to run databases and acts in the role of the Cell Member together with Database administration cells.
The engineer has an agile and digital mindset that always adapts to the current requirements using the appropriate development options.
This role requires working EMEA hours (3:00 pm – 12:00 am), with a shift allowance provided.
Key Activities:
The Database Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated solutions using the standard automation tools (Ansible / Service Broker/terraform /CICD, RHEL-AAP,etc) to deploy database’s IT infrastructure (Oracle / MS-SQL / PosgreSQL) and their needed integration services( backup tools, monitoring agents, Active Directory access,CMDB,etc.).
Collaborate with database operations, database infrastructure engineers to automate the provisioning or removal of Database’s IT infrastructure on Linux or Windows systems using automated processes.
Leverage Automation Platform tools or and their features or cloud provider tool kits and APIs to manage and scale automation workflows for database products deployments across multiple environments (on-premise and cloud).
Develop, maintain, and optimize automation playbooks, terraform deployment, collections and modules to automate infrastructure provisioning, database software setup, and configuration management.
Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, test, and deployment processes using tools such as GitLab CI, or TeamCity
Ensure consistent and reproducible deployments by managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Ansible or Terraform.
Monitor and troubleshoot automation pipelines to quickly identify and resolve issues, to ensure system stabilization, high availability and adequate performance of the deployments.
Continuously assessing and improving automation processes, adopting best practices and new technologies to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and ensure compliance.
Customer and interface management, including requirements analysis, consulting and support for the central functions and clusters with regard to the topics responsible
Ensuring internal and external requirements, particularly with regards to regulatory, reporting, compliance and audit, within the scope of the issues under responsibility and using best practices
Operation, maintenance and maintenance of the database infrastructure on Linux or Windows as well as providing advanced support for relevant systems, data maintenance, reporting and authorization management
Adherence to security standards and ensure stable operation with respect to products, services processes and systems

Formal Education:
University/University of Applied Sciences or equivalent professional experience
At least 5 years of professional experience
Experience in IT operations; has own responsibility for systems and/or complex processes
Qualifications & Experience:
Programming with Python, Git, CI/CD, terraform, Service Broker (like TeamCity, Jenkins...), Ansible, Programming Vendor APIs such as Red Hat Satellite API, Azure APIs, GCP APIs, Google tool kit, for Endpoint Linux or Windows
Familiarity with Software Development lifecycle, testing concepts, version control systems, and release management in Linux or Windows systems
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Extensive knowledge of infrastructure automation tools and principles (e.g., Terraform, Chef, Puppet).
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
Strong understanding of network protocols, security best practices, and system administration.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and deliver effective solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Certifications related to cloud platforms and automation tools
