P&I Malaysia is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Executive, HR to support the full spectrum of human resource functions, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll administration, and HR compliance within a specialised marine insurance environment.

Role Description

As the Executive, HR, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day HR operations of P&I Malaysia, ensuring smooth execution of talent acquisition, employee engagement, and HR administrative processes.

• Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including job postings, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding of new employees.
• Administer monthly payroll, statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB), and maintain accurate employee records.
• Support performance management processes, including appraisal cycles, KPI tracking, and probation reviews.
• Assist in the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and compliance with Malaysian labour laws and industry regulations.
• Coordinate training and development initiatives, staff welfare programmes, and employee engagement activities to foster a positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant HR generalist experience, preferably within insurance, shipping, or related industries.
• Sound knowledge of Malaysian Employment Act, statutory requirements, and HR best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and HR/payroll systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across all levels of the organisation.
• High level of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
