About The Program

The Embedded Hardware Engineer Apprenticeship Program is designed for aspiring engineers who want to build the hardware foundation behind intelligent electronic devices.

Participants will learn essential electronics concepts, measurement techniques, PCB design principles, and hardware integration through practical hands-on training.

This programme develops the skills needed to support the design, testing, and improvement of embedded hardware systems.

Program Structure

The programme consists of 1 month of intensive technical training followed by 3 months of On-the-Job Training (OJT) with a company.

During the training phase at ASEM, Cyberjaya, you will gain practical exposure to:

• Electronics Instrumentation and Measurement
• Signal Conditioning with Operational Amplifiers
• Practical Layout and Routing of Mixed-Signal PCBs
• C Programming for Engineers
• Embedded C Workshop
• Embedded Linux Fundamentals
• IoT Communication Technologies

During the OJT phase, you will work alongside experienced engineers, applying your technical knowledge to real development projects while gaining valuable industry experience.

Responsibilities

As an Embedded Hardware Apprentice, you will:

• Assist in hardware design and development activities.
• Support PCB testing, debugging, and verification.
• Perform electronic measurements and analyse hardware performance.
• Assist with hardware bring-up and component integration.
• Collaborate with firmware engineers for system integration.
• Prepare technical documentation and test reports.

• Hold or are pursuing a Diploma, Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines.
• Have basic knowledge of C Programming and Linux fundamentals.

• Are passionate about embedded systems, firmware development, and connected technologies.
• Are eager to learn through hands-on projects and industry-oriented training.
• Able to commit to the full training and OJT duration
