This role is responsible for managing the daily manufacturing operations including production scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization of a manufacturing facility to meet regional or global business requirements. The role involves strategic planning, process optimization, team management, and collaboration with cross-functional departments. The role develops and maintains quality control processes to ensure products meet or exceed quality specifications.
Responsibilities
Accounts for manufacturing and remanufacturing activities for multiple product lines, ensuring that performance meets regional or global business requirements.
Manages a team of higher level non-exempt individual contributors who typically support moderately complex daily work activities.
Manages essential business critical process documents like standard operating procedures, statements of work, business score cards, dashboards, etc.
Identifies opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements and collaborates with teams to implement changes.
Develops and manages the manufacturing budget, including cost control and expenditure tracking.
Ensures accurate inventory records and minimizes excess or obsolete inventory.
Works closely with other departments, such as engineering, quality assurance, logistics, and maintenance, to achieve common goals.
Performs talent management responsibilities including recruitment, performance management, coaching and career development.
Ensures compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry-specific requirements.
Education & Experience Recommended
Four-year or Graduate Degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations management, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Typically has 4-7 years of job-related experience or 2-4 years of management experience, preferably in manufacturing operations, supply chain, or a related field.
