INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

Scope of Works:

• Maintain and manage IT infrastructure including hardware, software, networking components, operating systems, and data storage.
• Implement and enforce policies to ensure the security of data, information systems, and technology assets.
• Monitor system performance and ensure uptime; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Support server and network infrastructure, including tools or application installation, virtualization, and cloud services.
• Maintain and troubleshoot storage and backup systems; perform data recovery when necessary.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance and resolve service tickets related to IT infrastructure.
• Assist in user support, including onboarding / off-boarding and access management.
• Participate in IT infrastructure projects such as system upgrades and deployments.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Special Skills Required:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting server operating systems (Windows, Linux), network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Networking Knowledge: Experience with configuring and maintaining network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), VPN, WAN/LAN, and network security protocols.
• System Administration: Familiarity with server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, scripting languages (PowerShell, Linux Shell, Python), and centralized system monitoring tools (Zabbix, etc.).
• Problem-solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues.

Requirements:

• To be eligible, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical support or role within IT infrastructure.
• Familiarity with server administration and maintenance tasks.
• Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Willingness to travel as needed and possesses own transportation.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals are an advantage.
