Shiobee is a French-Korean fusion café in Seksyen 12, Petaling Jaya, specializing in handcrafted pastries and artisanal bakes. Best known for our signature Shiopan (Japanese-Korean salted butter roll), we are committed to quality, creativity, and delivering a warm, memorable café experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and company quality standards.
• Ensure consistency in food presentation, taste, and portion control.
• Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal menu creation.
• Prepare ingredients and ensure mise en place is completed before service.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and company SOPs at all times.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and waste control.
• Work closely with the bakery and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.
• Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Head Chef or Management.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Culinary Arts or a related field is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of experience in a café, restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen. Fresh graduates with strong culinary skills are encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP practices.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing high-quality food.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage.
• Malaysian only.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
