About the Role

Our client, is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to manage and support its enterprise network infrastructure. This role is responsible for the configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of campus-wide networking systems, including wireless networks, switching, cabling, and network security.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto technologies, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Wireless Network (Wi-Fi)

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Cisco Access Points.
• Resolve Wi-Fi performance, coverage, and connectivity issues.
• Monitor network performance using Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
• Perform regular configuration backups and security patching.

Network Switching

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco Core, Distribution, Access, and Top-of-Rack switches.
• Monitor network health and performance using Cisco Prime Infrastructure.
• Perform firmware upgrades, configuration backups, and security maintenance.

Structured Cabling

• Diagnose and troubleshoot copper and fiber cabling issues.
• Coordinate and supervise external cabling vendors during repairs and installations.
  

Network Security

• Manage authentication and authorization for:
• Campus Wi-Fi
• Guest Wi-Fi
• Administrative network access
• Remote Access VPN
• Administer Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Configure and maintain Palo Alto and Cisco Firepower firewalls.
• Manage ACLs across LAN devices.
• Perform regular configuration backups and security updates.
  

Documentation & Support

• Maintain accurate network inventory and change documentation.
• Handle vendor support cases and warranty claims.
• Develop and update SOPs, technical documentation, and user guides.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant network engineering experience.

Technical Skills

• Strong expertise in Cisco enterprise networking technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical thinking.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to learning new technologies.
  

Additional Technical Skills (Highly Advantageous)

Monday – Friday

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM OR
• 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
