Role Description The Sales Coordinator is a contract based in Penang, Malaysia. This is a hands-on commercial role combining B2B partnership sales, merchant onboarding and activation, and cross-functional program execution to drive GMV and partner/merchant retention.
Job Responsibilities:
- Build and close private-sector partnerships (corporates, hotels, property managers, campuses, F&B chains, malls, event organisers, benefits providers) to drive merchant distribution and commercial uptake.
- Design and run partner-led merchant onboarding and activation programs (bulk/co-branded campaigns, field onboarding, training) to secure smooth first orders and sustained retention.
- Drive adoption of products and services offerings via partner channels— launch pilots, iterate, and scale successful initiatives.
- Coordinate across Sales, Ops, Marketing, Product, Legal and Finance to operationalise partnerships, track KPIs (merchant count, activation, GMV, retention), report insights, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–4 years’ experience in administration, merchant acquisition, business development, account management, or partnerships (preferably in F&B, hospitality, or e-commerce). Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong understanding of the F&B industry, restaurant operations, and familiarity with the retail industry is advantageous.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and CRM tools like Salesforce, Google Sheets, SQL
- Fluent in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and Hokkien to effectively communicate with Mandarin/Hokkien-speaking clients.
