Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and integrate BMC firmware features for Intel, AMD, and future server platforms.
Drive BMC feature development from requirements analysis through implementation, validation, and production release.
Collaborate with CSP customers to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable BMC solutions.
Create and maintain feature specifications, design documents, test plans, and technical documentation.
Investigate, triage, debug, and resolve server BMC firmware issues across development and production environments.
Work closely with BIOS, hardware, validation, system software, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful platform delivery.
Provide timely technical support and root-cause analysis for customer-reported issues and drive corrective actions.
Contribute to firmware architecture improvements, development best practices, and future server management technology roadmaps.
Skills & Experience
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in BMC, server firmware, embedded software, or platform software development.
Experience with Intel and/or AMD server platforms.
Knowledge of BMC technologies such as OpenBMC, Redfish, IPMI, or related management frameworks.
Proficiency in C/C++ programming and Linux-based development environments.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills.
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Good to Have
Experience supporting hyperscale CSP or cloud server platforms.
Knowledge of Embedded Linux, Yocto, Python scripting, and firmware development workflows.
Understanding of server security, remote management, and platform validation processes.
Experience working directly with customers on technical issue resolution.
Familiarity with CI/CD environments and automated firmware validation.
