Job Purpose
The Senior IT Executive is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving the Company's IT infrastructure, systems, and network environment. The role ensures the availability, security, and efficiency of IT operations while providing technical support to end users and assisting in the implementation of IT projects. The incumbent will play a key role in maintaining business continuity through proactive system monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the organization's technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
- Maintain and administer Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and user account administration.
- Monitor server performance, storage capacity, and system availability.
- Perform routine server maintenance, updates, and patch management.
Network Administration
- Configure and maintain network devices including switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls.
- Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity issues.
- Manage Virtual Private Network (VPN) connectivity for remote users.
- Ensure network security and availability.
ERP System Support
- Provide first and second-level support for the Company's ERP system.
- Troubleshoot ERP-related issues and coordinate with vendors where necessary.
- Support ERP implementation, upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Assist users with ERP training and usage.
User & Technical Support
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware, software, email, and network-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Respond to Helpdesk requests within agreed service levels.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
Security & Compliance
- Manage user access rights and security permissions.
- Implement IT security best practices to protect company data.
- Monitor antivirus solutions and endpoint protection.
- Ensure backup procedures are functioning effectively and perform restoration testing when required.
Project Support
- Participate in IT infrastructure improvement projects.
- Assist in system migrations, upgrades, and new technology implementations.
- Coordinate with vendors and external service providers.
Documentation
- Maintain IT policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Document system configurations and troubleshooting guides.
- Prepare periodic IT reports as requested by management.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve IT operations and efficiency.
- Recommend new technologies that enhance business productivity.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
