Role OverviewThe Account Manager is the primary bridge between StoryArc’s clients and its internal production team.
This role owns the client relationship from brief to final delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, clients are kept informed and satisfied, and the internal team remains coordinated and focused.
The right person will take significant operational and communication responsibilities off the founder, allowing leadership to focus on business growth and strategy.
Key Responsibilities1. Client Relationship & Communication- Serve as the primary point of contact for all assigned client accounts.
- Respond to client queries promptly, professionally, and warmly.
- Send regular, unprompted project updates so clients always know where things stand without having to ask.
- Take and fully document client briefs, ensuring all requirements, assets, timelines, and approvals are captured before production begins.
- Attend key shoots and productions on behalf of clients, managing expectations and supporting on-the-day decisions.
2. Project & Timeline Management- Own project timelines from kickoff to final delivery.
- Set milestones, track progress, and identify risks before they become problems.
- Manage revision rounds and approval cycles, ensuring feedback is documented clearly and projects continue moving.
- Ensure all deliverables meet client specifications and are delivered on time.
3. Internal Coordination & Production Follow-Up- Coordinate with videographers, editors, designers, and other team members to ensure everyone is clearly briefed and on track.
- Follow up with internal team members proactively instead of waiting for deadlines to reveal issues or blockers.
- Translate client feedback into clear, actionable instructions for the production team.
- Reduce confusion, unnecessary revisions, and back-and-forth communication.
4. Scope, Budget & Account Growth- Protect project scope and identify scope creep early.
- Work with the founder to determine whether additional requests should be quoted separately or absorbed.
- Identify upselling and account growth opportunities within existing client relationships.
- Present potential opportunities to the founder with relevant context and a recommended approach.
- Support the founder in preparing quotations and proposals for new and existing clients, including briefing decks and scope summaries.
5. Content Production Support- Assist with the planning and production of short-form social media content.
- Contribute content ideas, coordinate assets, and support shoots where required.
- Maintain awareness of recurring content schedules.
- Ensure standing and monthly deliverables are never late.
6. Operations & Processes- Help build and maintain SOPs for client management workflows.
- Ensure processes are consistent, organised, and repeatable.
- Keep project documentation, status trackers, and communication logs up to date.
- Escalate issues to the founder with proper context and proposed options, rather than presenting problems alone.
Required Qualifications & Skills- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in account management, project management, or a client-facing role, preferably within a creative, marketing, or media environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, warm, and highly responsive when communicating with clients.
- Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts under tight deadlines.
- Comfortable handling client calls and conducting video meetings independently.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Notion, Asana, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of video production and content creation workflows is an advantage.
