Role Name: Senior Cloud Engineer

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia (5 days onsite)

Employment Type: 12-Month Contract

Job Description:

1. Senior Azure (preferred) or AWS Cloud engineer with at least 5 years of experience.

2. Focus: Multi-cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated governance.

3. Infrastructure Design: Architect and deploy highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud solutions across Azure (App Services, SQL Database, Functions) and/or AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda).

4. IaC Implementation: Eliminate manual configuration by defining all infrastructure through code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep). Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).

5. DevOps & Automation: Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support the OutSystems and Boomi deployment cycles.

6. Security & Compliance: Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM), Virtual Private Clouds (VPC/VNet), and encryption protocols to meet enterprise security standards.

7. Cost Optimization: Monitor cloud spend and implement FinOps strategies (right-sizing, reserved instances) to ensure the environment remains cost-effective.

8. Multi-Cloud Expertise: Professional-level certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional)

9. Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/AKS) for microservices-based architectures.

10. Scripting: High proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for operational automation.

11. Networking: Deep understanding of DNS, Load Balancers (ALB/ELB), VPN Gateways, and API Gateways.
