A Sourcing Engineer is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and managing suppliers to ensure the company obtains quality materials, components, or services at competitive costs. The role involves supplier selection, cost negotiation, technical evaluation, quality improvement, and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to support product development and production needs.

- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, BOQ, and datasheets.

- Convert technical requirements into purchase requisitions (PR).

- Ensure materials/equipment meet technical standards and project specs.

- Clarify technical queries with vendors and internal engineers.

- Identify, evaluate and qualify suppliers and manufacturers.

- Compare offers for price, quality, lead time, warranty, and lifecycle cost.

- Prepare or review Purchases Orders (PO) and technical clauses.
