About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and responsible Account Assistant to support our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting fundamentals, be able to work independently, and ensure accurate financial records while supporting the daily finance activities of the company.

Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices and payment vouchers.
• Prepare customer invoices, debit notes and credit notes.
• Monitor customer collections and outstanding payments.
• Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices.

Accounting & Finance

• Perform daily accounting entries into the accounting system.
• Maintain proper accounting records and filing.
• Prepare bank reconciliation.
• Reconcile supplier and customer statements.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist in preparing management reports and financial schedules.
• Support external auditors, tax agents and company secretary during audits and statutory submissions.

Administrative Support

• Prepare payment schedules.
• Handle petty cash claims and staff reimbursements.
• Maintain proper documentation and financial records.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation when required.
• Perform general administrative duties assigned by management.

RequirementsEducation

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

Experience

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Candidates from any industry are welcome.
• Experience in an SME environment is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software (AutoCount, SQL, UBS, Million, etc.) is an advantage.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Responsible and trustworthy.
• Good time management.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Team player with good communication skills.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
