Job Responsibilities

- Prepare mineral samples for analysis according to established laboratory procedures

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including but not limited to X-ray fluorescence (XRF) spectrometers, Microwave Digestion and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) spectrometers

- Conduct various mineral tests such as 4-acid digestion, leaching, and acid/base dissolution tests

- Record and analyze data using computer software and databases

- Ensure that laboratory procedures are carried out in accordance with safety and regulatory standards, including handling hazardous materials and waste

- Maintain laboratory equipment and order supplies as needed

- Communicate results to team members as required

- Perform other duties as assigned by the laboratory manager or supervisor

- Ability to handle sample preparation equipment such as crushers and pulverisers

- Operation of the AAS machine for mineral analysis

- Responsible for handling sample digestion for AAS/ICP-OES

- Adherence to quality control measures to maintain the integrity of the tests

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From RM1,700.00 per month
