Data Science Intern — Role & Daily Responsibilities

Work arrangement: Remote (Work from Home)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, (8.30am – 4.00pm]

Role Summary

This role supports a technical training company’s internal operation primarily working with client details and training program data. The role is admin-heavy with light coding support, not a pure data science/ML position.

Daily Tasks

• Develop campaign analysis dashboards

Build dashboards to track and analyze cold email and marketing campaign performance, including open rate, reply rate, bounce rate, campaign timing, sender performance, lead quality, and campaign trends.

• Clean and process campaign data

Prepare raw data for analysis by cleaning duplicates, standardizing names, normalizing job titles, checking missing information, organizing columns, and making sure the data is ready for upload or reporting.

• Manage CRM and campaign data

Support data management in Attio and other campaign tools by organizing contact records, improving data structure, reducing duplicates, and maintaining clean project or campaign lists.

• Build tools to improve data workflow

Create simple tools, templates, dashboards, or scripts that help the team process, review, segment, and analyze data faster and more accurately.

• Improve existing data processes

Review current data workflows, identify problems or inefficiencies, and suggest better processes for data cleaning, campaign tracking, CRM management, and reporting.

• Support marketing campaign analysis

Analyze campaign results and provide useful insights on what performed well, what did not work, and what can be improved for future outreach campaigns.

Tools & Skills Used

• Spreadsheet/data tools (Excel or equivalent)
• AI tools (Chatgpt, Claude)
• Light scripting (R, Python)Communication tools for remote coordination (Teams, Google Workspace)

Pay: RM600.00 - RM700.00 per month
