JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for all printing related work with respect to overall productivity and quality of printing.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for operation, maintenance and housekeeping of equipment under his care for effective production and quality of the part produced and safe operation.
• Conduct equipment set-up evaluation and process inspection as described in quality plans and perform immediate effective corrective action on abnormalities and reports to his superior for further actions.
• Prepare for printing by installing the printing plates, checking the paper proof, checklists and inks, and other duties as required.
• Checks and ensure all inputs of materials (raw mat, chemicals, inks, tooling and consumables) are of right quality and available adequately for smooth running of operation/equipment and make recommendation for reorder or purchasing of the materials.
• Ensure and raise spare part transaction request procedures and ensure equipment are maintained in safe and good operating conditions with high OEE and low spoilage
• Perform equipment operating parameters check according to standard operating procedures or manufacturer recommendation and carry out effective and prompt corrective action and report to his superior for further action.
• Perform breakdowns repair and ensure recovery plans are executed effectively and on timely basis.
• Compiles and records process inspection data, production data, machine equipment, operating parameters and coordinates the efficient handing over of shift in term of verbal communication or log book.
• Identify training needs, advises Print Supervisor accordingly and undertakes training of personnel.
• Undertake duties assigned by Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Certificate or Diploma in Engineering
