Job Purpose

Support biomedical services by assisting in equipment maintenance, repairs, and testing. Ensure compliance with regulations, maintain records, and collaborate with teams to ensure the safe and efficient operation of medical equipment.

What is your role about?

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., Medical Devices Act, OSH Act) by implementing SOPs.

• Renewing all the biomedical equipment licenses in time for the yearly Hospital license renewal.

• Involve in daily biomedical operations, including maintenance, reporting, and ensuring equipment is safe and functional.

• Coordinate with procurement, safety officers, and end-users to support the calibration, commissioning, and safe use of medical devices.

• Manage vendor contracts, monitor outsourced maintenance work, and organize periodic training for staff.

• Maintain cost-effective management of departmental resources, including calibration tools and the hospital’s medical gas system.

• Promote teamwork and collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Who are we looking for?

• Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree relevant to Biomedical Engineering / Electronics / Instrumentation 

• At least 2 years of experience in biomedical engineering or related industry

• Good knowledge in repair, preventive maintenance and testing and commissioning methodologies and instruments: or availability of such resources/services.

• Working knowledge of biomedical equipment database administration systems, relevant statues and accreditation standards.
