Job description:

1. Prepare details purchase order based on approved requisitions.
2. Monitor the status of POS and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
3. Collaborate with production, finance and warehouse teams to align procurement issue RFQ's to multiple suppliers for comparison, ensuring the most cost-effective and quality option is selected.
4. Support new product development by sourcing innovative materials and components as needed.
5. Generate and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier contracts and invoices.
6. Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms to achieve cost efficiency and ensure long-term supply agreements.
7. Coordinate with logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
8. Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
9. Able to manage tasks with minimal supervision and meet deadlines efficiently.
10. To adhere to the company's Code of Conduct, regulations, and standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

1. Diploma or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field.
2. More than 5 years' experience in purchasing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Familiarity with import/export procedures and customs regulations.
4. Mandarin-speaking candidates are preferred.
5. Proficiency in Bahasa English, Bahasa Malaysia and proficiency in Mandarin is highly preferred to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems (ERP-SAGE software preferred.)
