Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and business-minded Project Development Executive to lead new product development on a project basis. You will manage the entire product journey from initial concept, sourcing, and formulation to final product launch. This role requires overseas travel for supplier visits, sourcing trips, and trade fairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage new product development projects end-to-end: concept, research, sourcing, sampling, costing, packaging, until final product launch
• Source and evaluate suppliers/manufacturers locally and overseas (including factory visits in China or other countries)
• Negotiate pricing, MOQ, and terms with suppliers to ensure best cost and quality
• Coordinate product sampling, testing, and quality checks before mass production
• Work with regulatory requirements for product compliance (e.g. KKM notification for cosmetics/hair care)
• Prepare project timelines, budgets, and progress reports for management
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams for product launch planning
• Conduct market research on trends, competitors, and pricing to identify new product opportunities
• Travel overseas as needed for sourcing trips, supplier meetings, and trade exhibitions (e.g. Canton Fair, beauty expos)

Requirements

• 2–4 years experience in product development, sourcing, procurement, or project management (FMCG/beauty/retail industry is a plus)
• Strong business acumen - understands costing, margins, and supplier negotiation
• Willing and able to travel overseas (valid passport required)
• Highly proactive, resourceful, and able to drive projects independently
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandarin is a strong advantage for China sourcing)
• Organized and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
