Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY: The Network Operations Intern will assist the NOC team in monitoring, documenting, and supporting network operations activities. This internship provides hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting network systems and introduces the intern to operational processes in a live telecommunications environment.

Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Assist in monitoring customer circuits and internal network platforms (Optical, Ethernet, and IP services) via Network Management Systems. 2. Support the team in documenting network incidents and creating Trouble Tickets. 3. Provide initial assistance in handling customer inquiries and complaints under supervision. 4. Assist in coordinating with internal teams for fault isolation and resolution. 5. Participate in planned maintenance activities under the guidance of NOC engineers. 6. Support in updating operational reports and documentation. 7. Gain exposure to network performance monitoring tools and report generation. 8. Participate in on-the-job training to develop technical and operational skills.

Requirement: Currently pursuing a Degree/Diploma in Electronics and Communications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or related field. Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, TCP/IP, VPN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls) is a plus. Familiarity with network management platforms (Nagios, Cacti, PRTG, etc.) is an advantage but not required. Good verbal and written communication skills. Eagerness to learn, proactive attitude, and ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks. (Reporting to engineering team/NOC Manager).

Experience: No prior experience required. (Any internship, academic project, or extracurricular exposure to networking or telecommunications is a plus). Duration/ Internship period: 3 months - 6 months] Proposed Minimum Allowance: RM 500.
