Position Overview
As a Purchasing Intern, you will support the Purchasing Department in ensuring the smooth procurement of goods and services for our F&B operations. This internship provides hands-on exposure to purchasing, supplier coordination, inventory management, and procurement processes while working alongside experienced purchasing professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Purchasing team in preparing and processing purchase orders.
- Support the monitoring and tracking of purchase requests, deliveries, and order status.
- Coordinate with suppliers to follow up on quotations, deliveries, and required documentation.
- Maintain and update supplier records, purchase orders, and procurement databases.
- Assist in comparing quotations and preparing cost comparison reports.
- Help monitor inventory levels and communicate stock requirements with relevant departments.
- Organize and file procurement-related documents, invoices, and delivery notes.
- Conduct basic market research to identify potential suppliers and product alternatives.
- Assist in preparing purchasing reports and other administrative tasks as assigned.
- Support the Purchasing team during stock counts, audits, and other departmental activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Purchasing Manager or Senior Purchasing Executive.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Purchasing, or a related field.
- Internship period of at least 3 months (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced F&B environment.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Pay: RM700.00 - RM1,000.00 per month
