POSITION: Structural Engineer

INDUSTRY: MINING AND QUARRYING

JOB FUNCTION : MINING OPERATIONS AND MONITORING

SALARY : RM 5,000 – RM 5,999

JOB REQUIREMENT:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related disciplines.

• Employment status: Permanent

• Working hours: Normal Hours

• Work experience: Minimum five years of structural engineering and construction project experience.

• Experience in industrial buildings and steel structure installation projects preferred.

• Strong knowledge of structural principles and construction methodologies.

• Familiar with cladding systems, steel structures and connection details.

• Proficient in interpreting structural drawings and technical specifications.

• Good understanding of fabrication processes and installation procedures.

• Excellent project management and site coordination capabilities.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and construction management software applications.

• Strong communication skills with clients, consultants and project teams.

• Fluent spoken and written Mandarin to communicate with overseas clients.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

What You’ll Do:

• Manage structural projects from planning through installation and final project handover.

• Supervise cladding and steel structure fabrication and installation activities.

• Review drawings, specifications and installation procedures for project compliance.

• Monitor construction progress and resolve technical issues during installation works.

• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings and engineering standards.

• Conduct inspections of workmanship, materials and completed installation works.

• Coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors throughout project execution.

• Review material submissions and fabrication details for installation requirements.

• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates and project budget reports.

• Prepare progress reports and participate in project completion inspections.
