Are you passionate about food, quality, and leading a high-performing kitchen team? We're looking for a dedicated Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain exceptional food quality, and ensure a safe, efficient, and organized working environment.
What You'll Do
Lead Kitchen Operations
- Supervise daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and smooth service.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and support kitchen team members throughout each shift.
- Train and guide staff while ensuring compliance with kitchen SOPs and company standards.
- Foster a positive, disciplined, and teamwork-driven kitchen culture.
Maintain Food Quality
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to company recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Monitor food consistency, portion control, and preparation times.
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor proper food handling, storage, labeling, and stock rotation practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and receiving.
- Minimize food waste through effective inventory control and portion management.
- Report low stock, damaged goods, or equipment issues promptly.
Equipment & Kitchen Maintenance
- Perform routine checks to ensure kitchen equipment is operating efficiently.
- Coordinate maintenance and report repair requirements when necessary.
- Ensure all kitchen tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored safely.
Cost Control & Operational Excellence
- Support food cost management by reducing waste and improving kitchen efficiency.
- Assist management in achieving operational and productivity goals.
- Ensure smooth kitchen workflow during busy service periods.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties assigned by management to support daily kitchen operations and business objectives.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or a related field is an advantage.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in kitchen operations, food preparation, or a similar role is preferred.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a commercial kitchen is an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and committed to maintaining high standards.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
