Join IX Telecom as a Network Engineer
We are looking for a highly motivated Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications network infrastructure. The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on experience in carrier-grade networks and have compulsory knowledge in both DWDM and GPON technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, configure, and maintain telecommunications network infrastructure.
- Perform installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
- Manage and support DWDM, GPON, IP, and transmission networks.
- Conduct network monitoring, performance optimisation, and capacity planning.
- Diagnose and resolve network incidents, outages, and service degradation within SLA requirements.
- Collaborate with NOC, Service Delivery, Project Management, and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Prepare technical documentation, network diagrams, and implementation reports.
- Support planned maintenance, migration activities, and emergency restorations.
- Participate in on-call support and after-office-hour activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, security policies, and industry best practices.
Requirements (Compulsory)
Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Knowledge and hands-on experience in DWDM and GPON technologies are compulsory.
Minimum 3 years of experience in telecommunications, ISP, or network engineering environments.
Strong understanding of:
- DWDM architecture, transmission networks, and optical technologies
- GPON network design, provisioning, and troubleshooting
- TCP/IP, routing and switching concepts
- Network monitoring and fault management
Preferred Skills
- Experience with vendors such as Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, ZTE, or Fortinet.
- Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPN, and SD-WAN.
- Experience with network monitoring tools and NMS platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
