Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Wireman to join our solar PV installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and supporting the electrical installation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role is essential in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of solar power systems, in full compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform electrical wiring, installation, and interconnection of AC/DC cabling for solar panels, inverters, and associated solar PV system components.
• Conduct electrical testing and commissioning to verify system functionality after installation.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and basic mechanical issues within installed solar PV systems.
• Safely and effectively operate hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Ensure all electrical works, including solar PV installations, comply with safety protocols, codes of practice, and industry standards.
• Monitor the quality and integrity of electrical installations on site, ensuring strict adherence to SEDA, ST, and other regulatory requirements.
• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the installation site upon completion of tasks.

Requirement

• Certified Wireman with competency certificate issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST).
• SEDA certification in solar PV (if applicable) is an added advantage.
• A minimum of 1–3 years of hands-on experience in electrical installations, preferably in the solar PV industry.
• Experience with solar PV systems, AC/DC cabling, and inverter installation is preferred.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in electrical systems.
• Good understanding of safety regulations and electrical standards.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, particularly in outdoor conditions and at heights.
• Physically fit and capable of working on project sites.
• Willingness to travel to various job locations as required.

Pay: RM2,350.00 - RM3,150.00 per month
