(Manufacturing – Copper Alloy / Industrial Materials)

Job Purpose

To independently plan, control, and synchronize production, materials, and delivery to ensure on-time customer fulfillment, stable operations, and controlled inventory levels.

This role acts as the decision-making hub between Sales, Production, Warehouse, QA, and Logistics.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Control

Develop and freeze:

• Weekly production plans
• Daily job schedules

Balance:

• Machine capacity
• Manpower availability
• Material availability
• Control and approve changes to production plans

2. Work Order & Execution Control

Issue and control Work Orders (WO)

Monitor:

• Planned vs actual output
• Bottlenecks and risks
• Escalate issues early and propose solutions

3. Material & Inventory Ownership

Ensure correct alloy grade and size availability

Define and maintain:

• Minimum Stock Level (MSL)
• Reorder Point (ROP)
• Prevent stock-out, overstock, and wrong material issuance

4. Delivery & Sales Coordination

• Commit realistic delivery dates
• Push back against unrealistic sales promises
• Prioritize urgent orders based on business impact

5. Reporting & KPI Ownership

Prepare daily and weekly KPI reports

Analyze trends in:

• OTD
• Scrap / rework
• Lead time variance

6. Continuous Improvement

Identify recurring delays and waste

Propose and implement planning and process improvements

KPIs

• On-Time Delivery (OTD): ≥ 95%
• Schedule adherence: ≥ 90%
• Work Order completion rate: ≥ 98%
• Inventory accuracy: ≥ 99%
• Scrap / rework due to planning error: ≤ 2%

Authority & Accountability

Authorized to:

• Reject unrealistic delivery commitments
• Re-sequence production jobs
• Stop production due to wrong material issuance

Requirements

Must Have

• 4–6 years experience in manufacturing planning / production control
• Strong Excel & ERP discipline
• Ability to challenge Sales and Production professionally

Good to Have

• Copper / metal / machining industry experience
• Lean manufacturing or industrial engineering exposure

Works daily with:

Sales/Warehouse/QA/Logistic
