Responsibilities

  • New Capability Development
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies for potential new repair capabilities, including gap analysis of facilities and equipment, tooling requirements, materials and consumables, documentation (maintenance data, drawings), staff training and qualifications.
  • Prepare business case and ROI analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Lead the project execution from approval through to First Article completion.
  • Provide technical guidance to production teams and coordinate with ERP/workshop development Engineer/Executive for smooth implementation.
  • Project Management and Cross-site Coordination
  • Actively manage project timelines, deliverables and resources to ensure timely project completion.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments and international sites.
  • Frequently travel to other global sites within Skyways Technics Groups to oversee project progress and provide on-site support, and if needed travel to the supplier's sites.
  • Ensure adherence to OEM and regulatory standards (e.g., EASA Part 145, FAA and local authority) in all capability development activities.
  • Maintains and controls the Capability Master List, including the addition and removal of part numbers, by preparing capability assessments and submitting for authority approval.
  • Capability Improvement and Optimization
  • Drive improvement initiatives for existing repair capabilities to enhance productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Evaluate and integrate processes currently outsourced into in-house operations.
  • Research and propose new technologies, tools and materials to boost competitiveness.
  • Support knowledge and process transfer of existing capabilities between global sites within Skyways Technics Group.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in aviation MRO, preferably in component repair or capability development.
  • Strong understanding of MRO operations, aircraft component repairs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficient in interpreting CMMs, technical drawings and other OEM repair documentation.
  • Hands-on experience in project execution and cross-functional team collaboration (a project management certification will be an added advantage).
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, including extended assignments abroad (primarily to the global sites within Skyways Technics Groups).
