About the Program

The Markaids Food Ingredients Graduate Trainee Program is designed to accelerate your career through structured, hands-on experience across our commercial function. You will rotate through our Business Development, Marketing, and R&D teams before stepping into a full commercial role giving you a 360 view of how we bring food ingredient solutions to market. 

Key Responsibilities

• Integrate on-the-job training to build a solid foundation across application, commercial, and marketing functions. 
• Develop a strong understanding of Markaids’ product portfolio — including functions, benefits, and how they serve customer needs. 
• Learn to present and explain product features confidently using marketing kits and relevant materials. 
• Participate in customer visits, internal meetings, and cross-functional projects to gain real business exposure. 
• Support business growth strategies, customer engagement initiatives, and BD pipeline activities. 
• Work with R&D and application teams to understand the technical aspects of food ingredient solutions. 
• Assist the Marketing team in developing collateral, campaigns, and promotional content. 
• Demonstrate personal drive and commitment to growing along a commercial/BD career path. 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Business, Marketing, or a related field. 
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 1 year of experience are welcome to apply. 
• Proactive, curious learner with a genuine interest in commercial functions and food ingredients. 
• Good communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging with customers and internal teams. 
• Willing to learn, adapt, and contribute across different teams in a fast-paced environment. 
• Passionate about building a long-term career in Business Development. 
• Able to travel for customer visits when required.
