1. TITLE: GRADUATE MECHANICAL ENGINEER / MASTER MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description.

1. General

• Manage projects comprising Water Pumping Station, Drainage Pumping System, Sewerage Lifting Pumping Station and all infrastructure related pump station, Mechanical Building Services with guidance by senior.
• Perform all necessary duties from the preliminary/conceptual design stage until project completion as listed in the following sections with guidance by senior.

2. Mechanical Design

• Prepare feasibility study, design brief, schematic design, and mechanical system design.
• Prepare sketch drawings and detailed drawings as required for tender, construction or other purposes.
• Undertake mechanical system detailed design and prepare specifications, bill of quantities and schedules.
• Prepare design calculations in accordance with all relevant codes and standards.
• Prepare cost estimates.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with all other design team members.
• Liaise with relevant Authorities for submission and approval of all drawings and documents.
• Carry out site supervision as necessary to ensure work are installed in accordance with contract documentation and good engineering practice.

3. Tender Documentation

• Prepare Tender Document comprising specifications, bill of quantities and schedules etc.
• Prepare Tender Evaluation Report with a recommendation to Client on acceptance of tender.

4. Contract Administration

• Contract Supervision including review and comment on the contractor’s submission of method statements, materials, equipment, inspection, testing procedures and test results.
• Prepare Progress Payment Certificates.
• Address Variations and resolve contractual disputes with guidance by senior.
• Assist in preparing consultancy Expression of Interest and Consultancy Proposal.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering recognized by Board of Engineers, Malaysia (BEM).
• Registered with BEM as a Graduate Engineer.
• Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in a consultancy environment.
• Experience in AutoCAD will be an added advantage.
• Good inter-personal skills.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Able to write and speak Bahasa Malaysia.
• Possess a valid driving license (Class D/DA or Class B2) and own transport.
• Willing to travel for meeting and site inspection/investigation.
• Ability to write reports, technical paper and review articles related to engineering.
• Multitasking, demonstrate teamwork, have sense of urgency and positive attitude.
• Participate in business operations, such as those involving corporate social responsibility Collaborate together on projects and corporate initiatives.
