About the role

This position will be at the T&L AP Regional Competency Center, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Join a global support team delivering high-impact technical support for network-connected industrial systems and software applications used across logistics and manufacturing environments.


This role focuses on system-level troubleshooting, application support, and network communication between devices and platforms, supporting global users in a structured, SLA-driven environment.


You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and global support teams to diagnose issues, improve system performance, and ensure seamless operations across integrated solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 technical support for network-connected systems and applications
  • Troubleshoot issues across Application layer, System integrations and Data communication (TCP/IP, APIs, interfaces)
  • Perform root cause analysis and escalate defects to engineering/product teams
  • Recreat customer environments (virtual or test setups) to diagnose issues
  • Support systems involving Device-to-application communication, Data flows between software platforms and Industrial systems connected via networks
  • Work with tools and environments such as Linux/Ubuntu or Virtual environments (VMware or equivalent), and Database or system logs
  • Manage and resolve technical tickets aligned to SLAs and global support standards
  • Document issues, solutions, and knowledge articles in shared systems
  • Identify recurring issues and propose system/process improvements
  • Contribute to knowledge base and troubleshooting guides


What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor of Science or similar education with a focus on electrical, computer science, and mechanical or related technology field is preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities (root cause analysis)
  • 3–8 years’ experience in Technical support/IT support/application support or systems/network support roles
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting applications and system integrations
  • Good understanding of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, ports, connectivity) and System/application troubleshooting
  • Exposure to one or more of Linux / Unix environments, Virtualization (VMware, etc.) and SQL / databases / log analysis
  • Familiarity with enterprise systems or cloud environments is a plus
  • Knowledge of industrial PLC based control systems and PLC/HMI is an advantage.


Work Environment & Requirements:

  • 30-35% regional and international travel.
  • Ability to obtain passports and valid visas for global travel.
  • Typical work schedule from 6am to 3pm at the Kuala Lumpur facility
