About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Data Scientist to join our Digital Transformation Team. This role is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with 0–2 years of experience who are passionate about data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and geospatial technologies.

You will work alongside experienced professionals to support transportation and mobility analytics projects, helping transform data into meaningful insights that drive smarter decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Insights

• Assist in analyzing transportation and mobility datasets to identify trends and actionable insights.
• Support data cleaning, preparation, validation, and transformation activities.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis and prepare reports for project teams and clients.
• Help interpret and understand datasets received from various sources.

Machine Learning & AI Support

• Assist in developing and testing machine learning and statistical models.
• Support clustering, classification, and predictive analytics projects.
• Participate in AI and data science initiatives under guidance from senior team members.

Data Processing & Automation

• Develop and maintain Python scripts for data preparation and analysis.
• Support automated data collection from APIs and external sources.
• Assist in maintaining data pipelines and workflow automation processes.

Business Intelligence & Visualization

• Create dashboards, charts, and visual reports using BI tools.
• Support data visualization and presentation of analytical findings.
• Assist in developing interactive maps and geospatial visualizations.

Geospatial Analytics

• Support geospatial data processing and mapping activities.
• Perform data quality checks using maps and route visualization tools.
• Assist in transportation and GIS-related analytical projects.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with project teams, software developers, and data analysts.
• Participate in project discussions, design reviews, and code reviews.
• Prepare technical documentation, case studies, and knowledge-sharing materials.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related fields.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Experience

• 0–2 years of relevant working experience.
• Internship experience in data analytics, machine learning, GIS, software development, or related areas will be an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Must have familiarity with open-source geospatial tools, maps, libraries and cloud
• compute storage and database.
• communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Good knowledge and work experience on Python Programming, Business Intelligence,
• SQL and similar tools.
• Experience with handling large data sets in XLS, CSV, JSON and other formats.
• Familiarity using various charts in Looker Studio, Superset, Tableau or any similar tool.
• Experience with cloud-based analytics/ BI tools and databases.
• Programming in HTML/CSS/JS/JSON/GeoJSON especially on geospatial interactive
• web maps application for data visualization.
• Any similar projects or certifications in data science, machine learning or related fields
