Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Business Development Manager role based in Petaling Jaya. The Business Development Manager will identify and pursue new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers, and expand Healthcon’s market presence across key medical specialties and disposable product lines. Daily responsibilities include conducting market research, prospecting and qualifying leads, preparing and delivering sales presentations, and managing the end-to-end sales cycle from negotiation to closing. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams on pricing, product positioning, and marketing activities, monitoring competitor activities, and providing regular sales forecasts and performance reports. The Business Development Manager will be expected to visit client sites, attend industry events or conferences, and represent Healthcon in a professional and solution-oriented manner.


Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within medical devices, healthcare products, or related industries.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with the ability to build long-term partnerships with hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals.
  • Solid understanding of healthcare markets, distribution channels, and tender or procurement processes in Malaysia is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical or clinical products in clear, accessible language.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable sales strategies and plans.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to manage multiple accounts, pipelines, and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and sales tracking tools.
