Our Client

Our client is an established organization providing industrial equipment and engineered solutions to support various factory and manufacturing environments. The company serves a broad industrial customer base and is focused on strengthening its local business performance, customer coverage, and operational effectiveness.


Role Overview

The General Manager will oversee the local business operations, with key focus on sales growth, customer management, service coordination, team leadership, and business performance improvement. This role requires a practical and commercially driven leader who can work closely with internal teams, customers, and regional stakeholders to drive sustainable growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the overall local business operations, covering sales, service coordination, customer support, people management, and day-to-day business execution.
  • Drive sales growth by developing new business opportunities and strengthening relationships with existing industrial and manufacturing customers.
  • Work closely with key accounts, distributors, channel partners, and internal teams to improve market coverage and customer engagement.
  • Monitor business performance, sales pipeline, revenue achievement, margin discipline, and operational efficiency.
  • Support pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, contract review, and customer proposal development.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between sales, service, technical, operations, finance, and support functions.
  • Strengthen service delivery standards, customer response time, spare parts readiness, and after-sales support effectiveness.
  • Lead, guide, and develop the local team to ensure clear accountability, strong execution, and continuous performance improvement.
  • Work with regional management to align business plans, reporting requirements, operational priorities, and growth initiatives.
  • Identify market trends, customer needs, competitive movements, and potential business opportunities within the industrial sector.
  • Improve internal processes, team collaboration, customer satisfaction, and overall operational discipline.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, business ethics, safety practices, and local regulatory requirements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Industrial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of working experience, preferably within industrial equipment, machinery, engineering solutions, factory equipment, manufacturing services, or related B2B industrial sectors.
  • Proven experience in sales leadership, business management, branch management, operations management, or general management.
  • Strong commercial mindset with hands-on experience in business development, key account management, sales planning, and customer negotiation.
  • Good understanding of industrial customers, manufacturing environments, factory operations, and equipment-related business models.
  • Experience managing small to medium-sized teams across sales, service, technical, or operations functions.
  • Able to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a practical business environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working with regional stakeholders and supporting structured reporting requirements.
  • Results-driven, customer-focused, and able to drive improvement across both commercial and operational areas.
