Job Purpose:

• Perform and assist start-up, shutdown activities and maintain safe and smooth plant operating conditions with related multitasked jobs in an assigned area within the boundaries of company rules, policies, guidelines and statutory requirements to achieve the quality and quantity according to the production plan.
• To assist in performing electrical, instrument and mechanical tasks as per multitask Operation POSS to ensure integrity, reliability and safety of the equipment to optimize availability.

Key Accountabilities:

• Plan and control plant and equipment commissioning, startup, shutdown and turnaround activities, allocate resources and prepare work assignments for subordinates.
• Operate and maintain normal operating conditions as per Operating Procedures.
• Diagnose and trouble shoot equipment and process problems and restore operating conditions to normal.
• Records and maintain field log sheets, activities log, equipment history, checklist and perform shift handover
• Respond to the operational upset and plant emergencies and make necessary process adjustment and shutdown action
• Prepare equipment or area for safe handing over to maintenance jobs and prepare Permit to Work for approval
• Perform all safety equipment routine check to ensure availability i.e. SCBA, eyewash, firefighting equipment
• Perform product loading/unloading (loading arm/loading hose/ship loader) activities
• Collect sample for analysis and perform minor/simple analysis as and when required
• Act as an operation liaison for plant modification and/or expansion jobs
• Initiates maintenance work request (SAP), purchase requisition for spares and material.
• Perform as ERT member (First Line Fire Crew) by responding to all plant emergencies according to instruction from On-Scene Commander.
• Exemplifies a commitment to prioritizing safety and adhering rigorously to OSHA rules and regulations.
• Must adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations related to Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) in the workplace.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma in Engineering or Technical discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Process) from a recognized institution.
• Holds valid and relevant technical certifications or competencies as required for refinery or petrochemical operations (e.g., AESP, AGTES).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in refinery and/or petrochemical plant operations. Fresh grades are encouraged to apply.
• Practical experience in plant start-up, shutdown, and routine operations within field environments.
• Demonstrated capability in field troubleshooting, equipment operation, and responding to process upsets or emergencies.
• Experience working with Permit-to-Work systems, isolation procedures, and HSSE compliance practices.
• Exposure to multitask operational roles, including basic mechanical, electrical, and instrument tasks to support plant reliability and safety.
