Data Centre Design Engineer (Structural & MEP) – Cable Landing Station

We are looking for a Design Engineer (Structural & MEP) to lead the end-to-end engineering design of next-generation Cable Landing Stations (CLS) supporting international submarine cable systems and high-capacity terrestrial networks. You will lead multidisciplinary engineering activities across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and telecom systems ensuring robust, scalable, and regulatory-compliant designs for subsea landing environments and terrestrial integration.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead the end-to-end technical design of Cable Landing Stations supporting submarine cable and terrestrial backhaul systems
• Develop and review multidisciplinary engineering designs including civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, security, and telecom systems
• Define technical specifications for SLTE, power systems, UPS, generators, grounding, and network infrastructure
• Drive feasibility studies, site selection, and technical due diligence for new landing station developments
• Manage engineering consultants and design teams across concept, detailed design, and execution phases
• Ensure integration between beach manholes, subsea cable systems, and terrestrial fiber networks
• Oversee design assurance, technical risk assessments, and value engineering activities
• Support construction and commissioning through technical reviews, FAT/SAT participation, and issue resolution
• Ensure compliance with international standards, local regulations, and QHSE requirements
• Act as a key technical interface for stakeholders including vendors, regulators, and project partners

What you should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mission-critical infrastructure design (CLS, data centers, telecom facilities, or similar environments)
• Strong understanding of submarine cable systems, landing stations, and terrestrial fiber networks
• Hands-on experience with multidisciplinary engineering coordination and design management
• Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, ETAP, and engineering document control systems
• Strong stakeholder management skills with consultants, vendors, and technical partners
• Ability to manage complex technical interfaces and ensure design integrity from concept to execution
